Return Policy
Daly Music wants you to be satisfied with your purchase!  We will accept returns of almost any product we sell within 30 days* of delivery.  Refunds and exchanges are made for product value only and exclude all shipping costs.  Items purchased with our Free Shipping Offer will have the shipping costs deducted from the purchase price refund.  If your return request results from an error on our end, we will pay the return shipping costs and ship an identical replacement item.  Please notify us at CustomerCare@dalymusic.com within 3 days of receipt of your order about any errors.
*Please note:  We cannot accept returns for items with any indications of use.  Some products and drop-shipped orders must be returnedwithin 14 days of receiving the shipment.

How do I return a product?
Please contact us within 10 days of delivery if you would like to return an item.  Your honesty about the reason for requesting a return will help us to process it correctly.  We will provide a Return Authorization Number (RAN), instructions, and a shipping address for sending your item back.  Please email us to request a Return Authorization Number (we cannot provide RANs by phone.)  A Customer Care representative will contact you promptly. 
NOTE:  We will not accept any returned packages without a RAN assigned to the order.If you return a package without an assigned RAN, the package will be denied and returned to you; all associated costs will be your responsibility.
To ensure full credit, all returned products must be:

  • in the original packaging and include all materials (accessories, owner’s manuals, warranty cards, literature, etc.) that originally shipped with the product;
  • in “brand-new” (new and unused) condition.  Items cannot show any signs of wear, use, or abuse (e.g., scratches, scrapes, scuffs, nicks, dings, etc.), and they cannot be dirty or show signs of cleaning.  This includes the product as well as all accompanying materials.

Exceptions to our Return Policy
Products that match any of the categories below may only be returned for replacement – and only if they are defective or have been damaged in transit.  They must also still be factory-sealed.

  • Care Products, Cleaning Supplies, Drumheads, Drumsticks, Instrument Strings, Rosin, and Tubes cannot be returned once opened because they are considered “disposable.”
  • Recording Media (e.g., Cassettes, CD-R, Open Reel tape, etc.) cannot be returned once opened due to the possibility of use.
  • Cymbals cannot be returned once opened because they instantly indicate use.
  • Ear Plugs (or other ear inserts), Harmonicas, Microphones, Reeds, “Talk Boxes,” and any other items that touch the mouth, nose, or ear cannot be returned once opened due to various health laws.
  • Instrument Parts/Accessories (e.g., guitar parts, instrument strings, pickups, etc.) cannot be returned once opened due to the possibility of use.
  • Sheet Music and Books, DVDs, Videotapes, Sample Libraries, Style Disks, Sound Expansion Boards, Sound Cards, and Software cannot be returned once opened due to copyright laws.

Items not returned per the conditions described will be subject to restocking fees of up to 50% of the purchase price, or result in a refusal of the return.  Returns of special order merchandise and drop-ship items may be subject to manufacturers' restocking fees.  All overweight or oversize items are subject to restocking fees of up to 25%, in addition to actual return shipping charges and original shipping costs.  Please contact us for specific instructions on returning overweight/oversize items.

Damaged or Defective Merchandise
If your package has arrived damaged or tampered with, please contact the carrier immediately to file a damage claim. Keep all packaging and merchandise exactly the way you received them (for inspection). The carrier will contact us once you file a claim; we can then ship a replacement for any items damaged in shipment.
If you received a defective product, the manufacturer will be able to replace the item for you. It is your responsibility to contact the appropriate company immediately after opening your package and to follow their procedures to obtain a return authorization.
If you do not find the manufacturer’s contact information, please email our Customer Care department at CustomerCare@dalymusic.com for further instructions.

Credit and Return Time
Please allow a minimum of two weeks from the time we receive your return for your refund or product reshipment to arrive.  If you paid by credit card, allow up to two billing cycles for the credit refund to appear on your statement.  Credit card returns will receive a credit for purchase price only, excluding shipping and handling charges, and issued to the credit card you used at purchase.  For purchases made with checks or Money Orders, you will receive a refund in the form of a company check.

Canceling your Order
If you have placed an order and would like to cancel it, please call 1-805-305-8889 within four hours of placing the order to cancel it.  (Don't worry!  Even after the four hours, our friendly staff will do all they can to stop the items from being processed and/or shipped – but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to stop a shipment in time.)
DalyMusic.com reserves the right to cancel any order due to price changes by manufacturers or vendors, pricing errors, omissions, mistakes, or for any other reason.  Although we will make every effort to fill your order, we may on occasion show incorrect information on our website regarding product pricing, descriptions, availability, and/or other information.  In such instances, customer service will notify you of the error and ask if you would like to cancel the order or proceed with the correct information.
