Flute cases, as the name suggests, operate as containers for flutes. They work to protect them from obtaining dents and scratches. Of course, they are also designed to make transportation of such valuable instruments much more convenient.

As could be expected, flute cases are long and narrow. This is because they are meant to fit the instrument in a natural and space conscious way. Soft nylon and hard ABS plastic are two common choices of material for the creation of these useful products. It is quite common for such cases to include many pockets. This is for the added convenience of having space for any addition flute accessories.

Flute cases should have a soft plush interior for optimal instrument protection. A hard case should definitely be chosen if a flute has keys. Otherwise, the buyer risks the possibility of having all the delicate keywork jammed.
