Acoustic Bass Guitars

The acoustic bass guitar was inspired by the large Mexican guitar known as a guitarron. These large bass guitars are used in Mariachi bands and other Latin style music bands. Beginner level bass models are usually very affordable and well-suited for students. For performances, a top line model can usually be purchased at a reasonable cost.

Since acoustic bass guitars can be difficult to hear, most manufacturers now build acoustic-electric bass guitars, which feature onboard pickups and often have EQ and tuner systems.
